Sue Stockwell's work is autobiographical, using a small vocabulary of symbols to act out lyrical reflections on the dramas
of everyday life, and the emotional forces which shape them. As a printmaker much of the imagery is developed through etching, burnishing, scraping repeatedly defining and erasing elements of the picture.
