Mark's work explores the colour and texture of landscape, and the form and cultural significance of certain animals. Moving between 2D and 3D he works both as a painter and a sculptor. Evocative of ancient guardians, his animal sculptures are often wall mounted and have a lone animal, or animal pair on a supporting block.
The work is influenced by journeys to India, and by references to ancient and prehistoric art.
Powerful animals are contrasted with a sense of mortality, and this by extension comments on the human condition.
Mark's artwork has been exhibited internationally and at many London galleries and art fairs.
